Hi team,

My customer is testing our BQ25730.

And they can't understand our FRS function clearly.

Could you please kindly help explain this function in detail or give me a AN or blog to learn?

And also could you please kindly help explain how we get the Figure 10-21. FRS Transition Waveform.

    Hi Brian

    Fast Role Swap (FRS) means charger quickly swaps from power sink role to power source role to provide an OTG output voltage to accessories when the original power source is disconnected. This feature is defined to transfer the charger from forward mode to OTG mode quickly without dropping VBUS voltage per USB-C PD specification requirement.

    FRS is similar to the OTG mode When OTG_VAP_MODE=1b and EN_FRS=1b, pulling high this OTG/VAP/FRS can enable FRS mode in forward operation.
