TPS6598X-CONFIG: Flash From Current Project - FTDI - Failing Verification

Hello,

We're using the TPS65987 in a product. We've selected the W25X05CLSNIGTR as our flash chip. I've brought out the SPI lines on the TPS65987 EVM and connected them to a programming header on our board to program the flash chip. Every time I try to program the flash from the TPS6587X-CONFIG GUI, it fails the verification step. Is there something I need to configure differently in the GUI? Here are my settings:

The GUI has no problem programming the MX25L8006EM1I-12G you guys used on your EVM. I'm not sure what the difference is between that part and the part we chose. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Scott,

If you try to sweep through the i2c addresses, is it able to identify the PD with the expected address?

Update - I didn't have my external power supply hooked up. Ignore the previous comment. I'm able to program the MX25L8006EM1I-12G on the eval board, but not our W25X05CL. The W25X05CL is still failing the verification step. I modified the EVM to use 10k pullups on CS, MISO, MOSI, HOLD, and WP, and a 100k pulldown on CLK per the reference schematic provided from Winbond. I did not place any series resistors on the data lines. I removed the MX25L8006EM1I-12G and placed the W25X05CL on the same pads.
