BQ25798: IOTG_regulation and Charger_Control_1 settings

Hi,

We are using the BQ25798EVM and the online TI Charger GUI. The datasheet has Bit 7 of register 0x0D as 0b 2 hrs (default) and 1b as 0.5 hrs. The TI Charger GUI has it the opposite. I'm assuming the datasheet takes precedence? Just need to verify.
The datasheet has bits 5:4 of register 0x10 as 00b 26V, 01b 22V, 10b 12V and 11b 7V. The TI Charger GUI has register 0x10 as 00b 26V, 01b 18V, 10b 12V and 11b 7V. For the 10b setting I'm assuming the datasheet takes precedence? Just need to verify.

Hi Paul,

18V is correct for the OVP setting. 2 hours is correct for the default precharge timer. I will submit requests to get the datasheet and GUI corrected.

Hi Jeff,

So GUI is correct for the OVP but I'm still unclear on the pre-charge timer. Should the 2 hrs default be 0b or 1b?

Hi Paul,

The precharge timer default is 2 hrs. The GUI needs to be changed to reflect that. You can still use the GUI as it sends the 0b which will be for 2 hrs not 0.5hrs.
