Can you please provide the units of the following registers and data memory variables? The units in the TRM and bqstudio are inconsistent and do not agree:

info on my setup:

scale factor 9
series cells 6

Registers:

Available Energy (experimentation shows units as: centa watt hours per cell /scalar (value of 1000 in bq studio = 540 watts ) ) - please confirm
Average Power : centa watts per cell/scalar - please confirm

Data Memory:

User Rate-Pwr ? please provide units
Qmax Max Delta % (bq studio show mAmpHour as unit?)
Reserve Energy ? Please provide units

Hello Reed,

Can you please share your .gg file showing your settings. The TRM states that the values can either be mWh or cWh depending on the Design Energy Scale. IF the scale factor you mention is the Design Energy Scale this means it is not in cWh or mWh since it scales the value by 1/9.

Hello Reed,

I took a look at your .gg file and it looks like the Design Energy Scale is 9, the current scale would be a different scaling method outlined in our app note and FAQ page.

I have gone through both of these documents several times - the issue is inconsistency in the units between various TI documents. the TRM, bq studio, etc.

Can you please straighten me out on the units I am specifically asking about given my gg file?

Hello Reed.

Sorry I thought the previous message had answered your questions, the units are either cWh or mWh depending on the design energy scale, since you have programmed 9 as the design energy scale the units are neither mWh or cWh, but it is closer to cWh. All registers which are labelled with cWh/mWh use this scale.

The Available Energy and Average Power should always be in cWh.
