TPS92610-Q1: about hte signal LED short detection

Part Number: TPS92610-Q1

hello,

i have one question about the TPS92610-Q1 signal LED short detection, if i do not need signal LED short detection,

i checked the DATASHEET, i think i should tie the SSH  ,SSL  together ,like the following pciture.

but i would like to ask how to choose the R1 and R2 value ? (do not need signal LED short detection)

please help explain this for me

thank you

best regards

  • Hello Qinlei,

It is not particularly consequential as the SSH and SSL are now the same node. However, I would recommend that the total value of R1 and R2 are greater than 100k and that they are matched if possible. This suggestion comes from page 13 of the datasheet in order to reduce the total current flowing the resistors such that it is inconsequential to the luminosity of the LED string. However, seeing how the resistors are already being implemented into the design, it would seem like the LED short-circuit diagnostic would come at no additional expense.

    Best,

    Pedro Arango Ramirez.
