TLVM13610: Use Case: Vin= 6V Vout=5V @8A possible?

Genius 12865 points
Part Number: TLVM13610
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPSM63610,

Hello Team,

according to below table we recommend Fsw = 500kHz to 1.4MHz for Vout=5V (I guess the Fsw to Vout=9V is wrong?)

The max duty cycle at Fsw = 1.85MHz is specified with 87% typically:

For the given application the duty cycle = 5V/6V = 83.3%. Is that supported at Fsw=1MHz?

Is the duty cycle dependent on switching frequency?

Thank you and Best Regards, Hans

  • Hi Hans,

The highlight you have imported from the TPSM63610 datasheet and incorrectly labeled for this TLVM13610 datasheet.

The units for the red highlight  0.75 MHz to 1.5MHz.

The recommendation switching frequency is based on keeping the inductor ripple ratio without 20% to 50% of the max load current.

This device should be able to support your application of 6Vin_5Vout_1MHz.

    Regards,

    Jimmy
