Hi,
I am curious that how does the MPPT of BQ25756 work?
If it is using the P&O algorithm, my understanding is that it should be able to work with other types of energy harvester.
Can TI please clarify this point?
Many thanks
Jun

Hello Zheng,
MPPT works by sweeping VAC_DPM and the charger finds the max power point from the sweep.
MPPT should work for any type of power source with an IV curve similar to a solar panel. What other energy harvesting source did you have in mind?

Hi Ethan,
I am thinking of using an electromagnetic generator (motor).

Hello Zheng,
Do you know what the open circuit voltage and short circuit current of the generator + rectifier will be?

Hello Zheng,
Thanks for the information.
The BQ25756 should work with 48V and 1.31A of short circuit current.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
