BQ25892: Do Ti have porting guide for Qualcomm platform

Part Number: BQ25892
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Hi Team,

Our customer is considering using QC PMI632+ TI BQ25892 solution in their new project.

But they have concerns for Ti's technical support for software development. My question is:

1) Do Ti have porting guide for Qualcomm platform?

2) What kind of resource Ti provides for software development? Per my understanding, Ti provides EVM, BQSTUDIO, Linux driver. That's all. Correct me if I am wrong.

Best regards,

Terry

  • Hi Terry,

    Please see my comments below.

    1) TI does not have a porting guide. I would recommend advising the customer to reach out to Qualcomm for information relating to their products.

    2) The available resources you listed are correct. The BQ25892 charger IC is configured via the various registers using I2C communication. Using the EVM and the GUI on BQSTUDIO the customer can perform register configuration from their PC computer.

    Best Regards,

    Garrett
