Hi ,

TPS2491 is used part of the design ,with the Input [VCC} being 12V.

I have tried measuring the Gate output voltage and i could see that the voltage measured is around 25V .

As per the Datasheet , the max Gate output voltage is of 16V which is expected.

Can you please help on what could be the possible reasons for the Gate Output voltage to be such high.

Thanks for reaching out.

"16 V" gate voltage is with respect to source.

Was the "25 V" measured across gate to source or gate to GND?

Hi Avishek ,thanks for the quick response .The measured voltage 25V is Gate output[ pin 8 of the IC ] to GND .

Thanks Avishek mistook 16V spec to be wrt GND.
