BQ25896: BATFET turn on delay time when battery only

Hi Team,

I tested BQ25896EVM. When battery only, BATFET turn on delay time is around 100ms.(CH1:BAT, CH2:SYS)

Is there a spec for the delay time? I checked DS, no related information found. If have, please advise. Thanks.

Hi Terry,

There is not a spec for power up time in battery only mode. I replicated the test and also observed 100msec delay between VBAT connection and VSYS turn on. The timing is expected.

Customer used BQ25892 in another project.

They also want to know BQ25892's BATFET turn on delay time when battery only.

I don't have a BQ25892EVM in hand. Could you kindly help to advise? Thanks.

The BATFET turn on time for the BQ25892 is the same as the BQ25896.
