Gate driver recommendation inquiry

Hi, TI expert

The customer is currently reviewing a 150W (Max 200W) product and has an inquiry about gate driver recommendations (refer to the diagram below).

Could you please check if there is a gate driver you can recommend?

Please let me know if you need any specific information.

Thank you.

  • Hi Grady,

Thank you for your interest on the gate drivers. We have isolated and non isolated gate driver, with different drive strength, UVLO option, so its a quite open question.

Can you please check our Gate drivers page below, to filter based on your system needs.

  • Hi, Sasi

Is it possible to recommend a device suitable for the conditions below?

    - Required specifications: AC220Vac → SMPS 24V (150W)
(Control of heat element for a 150W output using a high-power N-Ch FET. (Heat element → wire resistor 2.7 ohms))

    - Number of Channels: There are 1ch independent control products and 2ch products. Both are needed.

    - Peak output current: Please recommend specifications that are suitable for achieving the aforementioned 150W. If possible, recommend an output current of 4-5A or higher.

    - VCC voltage range: Supply voltage Min 5.0V ~ Max 24V

-Highest operating temperature: +105 C or higher

This pertains to controlling the high power (W) of the FET, and please recommend a device suitable for these specifications.

    Thank you.

  • Hi Grady,

Is the application needs isolated gate driver or non isolated gate driver? Does it need any protection features?

Based on the power level, you need to choose the FET and then define the gate driver drive strength to switch the FET effectively.

Did you review the link shared- could you filter based on the conditions what you shared here?

    Thanks

    Sasi
