BQ25756: Buck-only mode

Hi team,

It says "Buck-only mode" in Feature.

Can bq25756 be used only as a buck charger?

If yes, can the FET on the boost side be removed?

Hello Hirotsugu,

This is a typo in the datasheet. The BQ25756 does not have a buck only mode. Thanks for being patient with this.

If this IC is used only for charging under Buck mode conditions, is it possible to remove the boost-side FET?

Hello Hirotsugu,

The BQ25756 needs both buck-side and boost-side FETs for the compensation detection. The boost-side FETs can't be removed.
