Hello buck regulator experts,
Our customer is designing with TPS546D24A. The way the address selection is described in the datasheet is a little unclear to me. Is there a document that gives an example? Can you confirm if this example is correct?
They will have 2 TPS546D24A on their board. For example, if they want to have one address 0x13H and one address 0x14H,
For the 0x13H, the Resistor to AGND code is 3 (table 7-15).
Then look at Table 7-14. For example, they want Sync out for the first devices and phase shift of 0 degrees, so I convert the hex address to decimal, so 0x13H is 19d. So Resistor Divider Code is 12.
Then we go to section 7.5.2.6 to figure out the resistor values. R2G code is across the top, and the R2G code means "Resistor to AGND". Based on Table 7-15, I'm selecting the "3", so Rbot is 8250 Ohm.
The Divider Code is 12, so the top resistor in the divider to BP1V5 is 2260 Ohm.
For the Address 0x14H (20d), I have R2G code of 4. (I think there's a mistake in the datasheet on this line in Table 7-15 by the way.)
I want Sync In, 180 degrees, Resistor Divider Code = 6 (Table 7-14).
Table 7-17 says: Rbot = 10000 Ohm. Rtop = 10000 Ohm.
Is that correct?
Thanks,
Darren
