TPS25947: Latching on and ignoring EN/UVLO input

Part Number: TPS25947

Hi,

On a product I am working on, I have used a TPS259470LRPWR as a load switch. Due to a bug in my firmware, when I was turning on the switch I was actually toggling the EN/UVLO pin very fast.

I found that the device after about 0.5 seconds of this would become unresponsive and remain in the ON state regardless of the level on the EN/UVLO pin until power was removed.

This is no longer an issue for me as I have fixed the bug in the firmware but I thought I should share in case others came across the same problem.

Thanks.

  • Hi William,

Welcome to E2E and thanks for reaching us.

Can you share the profile of EN/UVLO to check whether the device is entering into test mode and become unresponsive.

    Best Regards,

    Rakesh

  • Unfortunately I didn't take any screenshots on my Oscilloscope.

Essentially, the EN/UVLO would be high for ~1ms then low for 10ns then high again. I noticed that it would only latch on if this went on for any longer than about 0.5s, otherwise it would work as expected.

Thank you for the quick response.
