TPS92515: Suggestions on LED Driver with Dimming and Blinking features

Hi Experts,

We are designing a circuit to control LED brightness and blink frequency. Brightness control comes with most of the chip by default but controlling blink frequency is not available in any of the chip we searched so far.

We want the LED to blink from 1Hz to 200Hz with different brightness level. Can you please recommend the part suitable for this requirement ? or combination of multiple part to achieve this requirements is also fine.

    Certainly, you can use tps92515 for the application. 

    You may consider shunt FET dimming solution (refer to 8.3.4) and control PWM frequency & duty cycle to adjust brightness level.

    Thanks for your response, the COFF time can be tuned to a max range of 230uS. Our application requires the LED to blink from 1Hz to 200Hz.

    We also have a microcontroller in the same circuit so we can give signal from that also. we are missing the connection part and the way to blink the LED.

    COFF time defines off time for each switching cycle, it's different from shunt PWM dimming. You may set shunt PWM from 1Hz to 200HZ, while buck converter works with higher frequency. Like figure 15, PWM dimming signal different from switching freqequency.
