DCR010505: Is DCP020505U P2P drop-in to DCR010505U?

Part Number: DCR010505

Team,
Can the DCP020505U (SOIC-12) be used as direct P2P drop-in replacement to DCR010505U (SOIC-12)?
Are there still some sort of qualification to do update an existing DCR010505U design to DCP020505U? or can it be replaced directly on the production line?

Thanks in advance,

A.

  • Hi A,

The DCP02 series of unregulated isolated converters and the DCR01 series of regulated isolated converters are not direct P2P's of each other. Section 5 of the DCR01 and Section 6 of the DCP02 datasheets show that the pinouts are and functions are slightly different. If you plan to replace a DCR01 with a DCP02, you will need to make adjustments to your design to meet the recommendations listed in the datasheet.

    Best regards,

    Ridge
