Hello -

I have a new project where the battery specified by the customer uses the BQ2050 fuel gauge. We need to interface with the bq2050 to obtain state of charge/capacity. Changing the fuel gauge is not an option.

To that end, I've obtained a used EV2050 Rev.E dev board. I have not been able to find the EV2050 User Interface Program. The user guide for the eval board says it's on a diskette so I'm aware I'm looking for old software. Does anyone have the software they can send or have a pointer to the software where I can download?

I've looked at the bqstudio but it doesn't appear to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Todd,

Due to the age of this part we do not have supporting tools to be used with it, it is mainly upkept for legacy projects that are not changed after initial production occurred many years ago.

Understood. The obsolescence of the part is an issue and I understand that no current tools (BQstudio and the like) support the bq2050 or the EV2050. I'm not looking for that. I was hoping to find a copy of the EV2050 User Interface Program, no support from TI necessary, to kick start the development of a DQ interface.

I'll keep looking, but if there is a repo that has the software archived, any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
