Hi, TI support team

My customer is reviewing with BQ27220.

We had bought EVM, but we found below comment in user's guide.

What is the GDK and can we buy GDK?

If we can't, could we use  DC power suppy and electric load alternatively GDK?

If we use DC supply and electric load, what are the velue of supply voltage and current(load)?

When collecting data, are there any separate register settings required?

    Hello MJ, 

    • The Gauge Development Kit (GDK) is no longer in production and cannot be purchased.
    • I recommend using a Keithley sourcemeter as this device has a good accuracy, but if you do not have one at your disposal then you can use a DC power supply and electronic load.
    • It is recommended to set the DC supply voltage to the charging voltage of the battery you are using, it is also important to set the current compliance on your source to a value that will prevent damage to the battery and device. 
    • Typically we recommend to set the load to C/5 to C/10.  
    • Please refer to the Instruction Manual for Gauging Parameter Calculator for CEDV gauges here.
