TPS3760-Q1: Smaller alternative

Part Number: TPS3760-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS37-Q1, TPS37, TPS3760, TPS38

Hi team,

I am searching for an AEC-Q100 alternative to S-19110GABH-M6T1U4 from ABLIC. I see TPS3760-Q1 is recommended by xref tool. However my customer is not satisfied by DYY package which is 4.2x2mm when S-19110 is SOT-23-6 (~2.9x1.6mm)

Our body size is 1.8x bigger and we have 14pins when S-19110 has 6. Do we have any smaller alternative? even something that is slightly more overkill ? for example TPS37-Q1?

Best regards, Antoine

  • Hi Antoine,

Please answer the questions below so I can recommend the most optimal part for your customer.

    • What is the supply voltage?
    • voltage threshold needed?
    • separate VDD and SENSE pins?
    • RESET de-assertion delay?
    • glitch immunity/noise filter?
    • Need manual RESET?

  • Hi Jesse,

I got this information from the AVL so I do not have much more detail. However I was told our part TPS3760-Q1 is too big, so would TPS37-Q1 be able to replace S-19110, even if its a bigger part?

    Best regards, Antoine

  • Hi Antoine,

The issue is that the S-19110 is a 36V device, and in our new device portfolio we only have the TPS37, TPS38, and TPS3760 which are in that voltage range.

Since you are saying that the DYY package of the TPS3760 is too big, then you will have to use the TPS37 or TPS38 DSK package. These devices can do everything that the S-19110 can do, but in some cases these devices maybe an overkill depending on the customer application. For instance, if the application only require at most 6V VDD, then we can recommend a device with a smaller package, same specs as S-19110 and at lower cost as well.

  • Hi Jesse,

Understood, I hope to have that feedback soon. R&D is difficult to reach in these cases (AVL conversion), so I might end up recommending TPS37-Q1 if nothing comes out of R&D.
