TPS23755 PSR datasheet refers for output voltage of typical 12V or higher. Customer is looking for output voltage between (30 V or lower output voltage such as 5V or 3.3V). Just want to know we can get the lower output voltage such as 5V or 3.3V by tuning the 4kV isolation transformer design?

    Hi,

    We want to use TPS23755 flyback converter with output voltage of 5V DC @ 1A output = 5W with 4KV isolation. The input voltage range is 37 V to 57V DC POE application.

    The datasheet mentions typical 12V output so this chip can be used with 5V output also. Please also share the design file as it is not available in TI Webench tool.

    Hi Harish, 

    Thanks for reaching out. TPS23758 and TPS23755 are similar IC.

    TPS23755 is better to be designed with diode rectification on secondary side. TPS23758 is better to be designed with sync FET on secondary side. You can use TPS23755 with different Vout if the diode rectification on secondary side. 

    The reference designs are TPS23755EVM (12-V output) and TPS23758EVM (5-V output).

    Hi Diang,

    We are only looking at TPS23755 which has a feature of secondary auxiliary supply detect capability which is not in TPS23758. Just want to confirm we can design with output of 5V @ 1A with TPS23755. 

    Please also share the design sheet with 4KV transformer design as it is not available with webench tool . I had earlier shared the input parameters

    Yes, you can use TPS23755 at 5-V output, but you need to make sure secondary side is diode rectification. Unfortunately we do not have TPS23755 flyback reference design at 5-V 1-A.
