Hello,

I'm looking for help selecting a suitable online AC-DC converter solution.

In this application we are taking a phase-cut 120VAC input and need to step it down to a fixed 12 - 24 VDC. Because of the chopped AC waveform, solutions with step down transformers won't work, so I'm looking at 'online' solutions. The solution should be capable of powering up to a 150-200W load (high-power LED lights, very stable load.)

I have found the UCC38C43 part and it looks like it will fit the bill. However, I also see other options that would work, and i'm not sure if thats the best option

We are in the prototyping stage, and finding a suitable part with an available dev board is pretty important.

Any suggestions welcome!

    Please list what you see side by side to UCC38C43 so to help compare. It is helpful to list what you have as the parts may be supported by different group of people. You can re-open this thread or create a new one when you are ready. For now, I will close this thread.
