LMR36502: Schematic check

Part Number: LMR36502

Hi,

I've been reading the datasheet and I did my schematic for the LMR36502F3RPER, might you tell me if it is ok? the switching frequency is near 600kHz and the output must be 5.1V, considering a Vin(min) = 17V and Vin(nom) = 32.4V. In the next image I used the LMR36502RP5 and I don't know whether there is some difference or not with the LMR36502F3RPER, both seems to be almost the same. I got Vout = 5.1V which is what I want.

  • Hello,

The LMR36502F3RPER has the possibility of a 3.3V fixed output. The LMR36502F3RPER has the possibility of a 5V fixed output.

Your schematic looks OK. Your current ripple will be near 50% at the nominal input with the inductor value you have chosen. If you want to reduce the inductor ripple to be 40%, which is typical of buck converter designs, you can use a 120uH inductor.

    Best regards,

    Ridge
