Hello team,

A customer asks about CS pin. If CS pin is accidentally shorted to GND while using compensation circuit, what happens? Is it okay from a safety point of view, or will it cause damage? If it causes some damage, is there any way to protect it?

Hi Lee,

the front DCDC will work abnormally if CS pin short to GND, the DCDC would reach to limited duty cycle, output voltage close to Vbattery and exceed maximum input voltage of TPS2549. you can disconnect voltage regular and TPS2549, short to point (between RFA and RFB ) to GND, and observe the output voltage of voltage regular.
