Suggestion for a fully protected high side power MOSFET switch

Hi,

I am looking for high side MOSFET switch with over current and short circuit protection. The MOSFET should be automotive grade with operating voltage of 8-16V and current limitation of 36A.

Please provide a suggestion, if such a product exists with TI as I could not find one on your website.

Thanks for the inquiry. I am the applications engineer for TI's Power MOSFET product line. We do not make any MOSFETs with over current and short circuit protection. Also, none of our FETs are automotive qualified. I know TI makes automotive grade high side switches but I don't think they can handle your current requirements. I am going to reassign this thread to TI's power switches team to see if they have any product recommendations.

Devices like TPS1HB08-Q1 and TPS2HCS10-Q1 are options for 12V automotive devices with current limit. Please note that some devices limit current via clamping while other turn off immediately.
