LM5066I: Does the IC turn OFF the gate, if pulling timer pin over 3.9V

Part Number: LM5066I

Because this IC will start to control gate voltage if detecting power limit or current limit to limit current, I have set IC current limit much more higher we are using and build external current measurement for protections. When detecting overcurrent, i am trying to turn off gate of the IC to pulling TIMER pin over 3.9V, but in simulation it seems idea does not work? All the ideas would be beneficial...

  • Hi TeHe,

    Thanks for reaching us.

I don't think simulation model covers that. Can you please get an EVM and test ? As you are using external current measurement for detection and then turning off the GATE. Can you control UVLO/EN of LM5066i instead of TIMER pin ?

    Best Regards,
