BQ24195L: Which direction does BATFET body diode face?

Hello,

The block diagram for BQ24195 is not very clear as to which type of MOS the Q4 BATFET is and which direction does its body diode point? Should I expect VSYS to go to 0V when BATFET is disabled?

    Hi Craig,

    The functional block diagram gives an idea of the device behavior but may not necessarily directly reflect the device internals and how they operate. If the BATFET is disabled, SYS's voltage may depend on VIN presence. If VIN is not present then SYS will be low.
