Hi team,

My customer they want to use CEDV gauge BQ4050 in their 4S3P pack.

Now they need to upload data to GPCCEDV.

They want to know they should collect the uploaded data with single cell or 4S3P pack?

I want to apply BQ4050EVM for them, but it is disappeared at sample website, do we still make this evm?

Hello Kailun,

Single cell should be enough for data collection for CEDV gauges.

If it was Impedance Track gauge, it would need to be 4S since the internal resistance is reduced 4 times.

Hi Kailun,

GPCCEDV mainly reports calibration values for temperature compensation and OCV table. The OCV table is based on single cell. The gauge will multiply the OCV value times #of cells.

I think 1S should be ok for data collection. Also, 4S 1P is fine as well for data collection. They can try collecting data for 4S 1P and divide the voltage by 4 and submit two different input files. They can test if there's any difference in the results.

Hi Jose,

The 1S1P GPCCEDV describe single cell's capacity and discharge curve. Could they be entered into Data memory directly? Are there parameters that need to be multiplied or divided by 3 or 4? Since the battery pack is 4S3P

Hi Kailun Liu,

The GPC report will say if any of these parameters need to be multiplied. I suggest to not multiply them unless it is said in the report.

The DA configuration will take care of the 4S configuration.
