My customer has an question for TLC5925.
From Fugyre 1 in the datasheet(SLVS765B, P9), LE doesn't require CLK signal.
But hold time(th(L)) and setup time (tsu(+)) is specified as 5nsec min in P8 and Figure 5.
Why are the hold and setup time to CLK specified? What does it mean?

The below is from the datahseet. From the figure, it looks like that any CLK is not required for LE operation.

OK, let me explain again.
The setup and the hold are defined as the below figure (From the datasheet, Figure 5).
The setup is CLK-Risign to LE falling. The hold is next LE falling to next CLK rising.
If LE is not related to CLK, why this setup/hold is required? What is the intention of this parameters?
I can't understand it.
And, in the below figure(Figure 6 from the datasheet), as you said, LE looks like not being related to CLK.
There is only CLK-15 near the LE high pulse. Is the setup the blue one in the figure?
Is this setup required to make sure all SDI values during CLK0-15 latched correctly in this timing?
Also is the Hold red one in the figure? Is the hold required to make sure that SDI signal clocked by next CLK-0 doesn't wrongly latched?

I prefer to recommend to follow the below structure, which means you need to follow the t_h(L), t_su(L) and t_w(L).
