BQ77915: NTC for 4 series cell

Part Number: BQ77915

Hello TI Team,

For intrinsic safe applications, It was recommended to use 4 NTC  on 4 series cells. ( one NTC for each cell, 4S cell so 4 NTC). Please find attached is the updated schematics.

I understand that the threshold values are calculated for RTS_Pullup 10K resistor and VTB =3V

As per datasheet..

Min

Typ

Max

VOTC

Threshold for 50°C based on a 10k
pullup and 103AT thermistor

29.15%

29.38%

31.45%

Condition VTB =3V

0.8745

0.8814

0.9435

 I would like to use RTS_PU = 2.5K Ohms and 4 NTC in parallel gives me 1.06K Ohms i.e @50 °C.

If I calculate the V Threshold = (R2/(RTS_PU+R2))*VTB = [1.06K/(1.06K+2.5K)]*3V = 0.881356V, This threshold value cross the Min VOTC value.

With this my understanding is that temperature protection during charging will trigger at 50 °C.

Is my understanding correct?
