Hi Meria,

The required current rating of the pre-regulator that supplies the PMIC will depend on the expected maximum current/power required in the application. Customers can use the TPS65219 Efficiency and Thermal Estimator to calculate the total power dissipation of the PMIC. Just for your reference, if you are powering the AM62 or AM64, the processor EVM uses a pre-regulator with 6A current rating to supply the PMIC.
