Hello,

I use BQ28Z610-R1 for 2S1P battery,and I want to know if there is only one kind of power on sequence?

1. connect VC2 to most positive cell, 

2.connect VC1 to least positive cell, 

3.connect VSS to least negative cell

if we perform one of these power on sequence such as 1=>2=>3,or 1=>3=>2,or 3=>2=>1,3=>1=>2,2=>1=>3,2=>3=>1,what will happen?

    I am slightly unclear about the question you are asking. Are you asking if there is a specific order that the cells should be connected?

    If so, I do not believe that there is a specific order that the cells should be connected. Below is an excerpt from the bq28z610-R1 EVM stating this:

  • But it also tell us there is a possiblity that the bq294502 could blow the fuse.

    Is there a possiblity that some cell connection sequence could cause bq28z610 Voltage(0x08) ,cell1 voltage,cell2 voltage,Battery voltage abd Pack voltage to be not stable?

  • Hi Ran,

    There are some cell connection sequences that could cause instability, such as starting with 2P and connecting down through 1P and 1N. The best practice is to start from 1N to 1P to 2P.
