TPS61178: How to synchronize boost converter and inverting buck boost converter ICs with a single external clock signal ?

Hi eyupcaker,

The two devices both have sync pin.

Connect the external clock signal to the pins at the same time then the two will be synchronized.

It seems there is no app note or reference guide about this.

Please tell me if you have any concern about this.

I give the signal to both integrated circuits at the same time, but it does not work. The forms I read say that level shifting should be done. Is there any need for another procedure other than this one? I'm trying to synchronize the negative voltage output with the positive voltage output.

Sorry I cannot open your share folder and the pictures are too fuzzy to read.

If you need level shifting, you could try as following:

connect sync signal to TPS611781 sync pin and connect the SW signal to LM25576's sync pin.

Voltage divider resistor is needed as the sync pin's max input voltage is 7V.

Also, the sw signal of LM25576 can also be the sync signal connected to TPS611781.
