TPS1211-Q1: *Simulation Issue (Invalid Reverse Polarity Protection Function)

Part Number: TPS1211-Q1

Hi team,

My customer faced a simulation problem, about the invalid reverse polarity protection function. The simulation files are attached following:

TPS12110-Q1_PSPICE_TRANS_X-2023-11-20-[09.15.18].rar

Here provides some problem description during the simulation, and they are all based on the provided simulation file.

  • The simulation is based on the grounded INP pin.

  • In order to simulate the reverse voltage, a -30V voltage source is launched at 250mV.

  • SRC pin is pulled low. However, PD/PU has not been pulled low following. There is a voltage difference between GS, and the MOS is conducted.

  • What's more, when performing short-circuit protection shutdown simulation, PD/PU is limited at 0V, without following SRC, too.

Pls help review the simulation file, and find out why the reverse voltage problem function is valid in this case.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,

Matt.
