Power Designer schematic editor issues

I'm working in offline mode for Power Designer.  I noticed that after changing the output caps in the schematic editor and clicking "OK", the Bode plot automatically updates, but the time domain transient plots do not.  I can get those plots to update if I first switch over to another output rail and then switch back.  That trick seems to force the screen to update. The notes that pop up when I hit the "Apply & Recalculate" button claim that the "OK" button automatically recalculates the design, but I'm not seeing that happen (except for the small-signal plots).

I've been experiencing another strange problem with the schematic editor where it forgets (or doesn't save) my changes to the output caps if I do it at the same time as changing the output inductor.  In the schematic editor, I have the following boxes unchecked: "Select inductor" and "Select capacitor legs based on # phases".  I can get it to recognize both inductor and cap changes by first changing the inductor and clicking "OK".  Then I open the schematic editor back up and change the caps.  But, if I do them both at the same time and check "OK", it reverts my capacitor changes back to what it was before my change.

  • The non-update of the time plots is an error that seems to pop up occasionally.  I'll pass this on to the GUI designers.

I ran into the capacitor selection reverting to the original settings last week, so they are already aware of this behavior.

Thanks for reporting these issues, I usually try to put the release canidate version through its paces before it is set free in the wild, but I wasn't able to spend as much time with this version.
