Hi

BQ25798EVM performs 1 cell output, whether using BQSTUDIO or MCU with I2C communication is normal, normal communication can be performed using 4.48V voltage and 1~5A output.

BQstudio also saves all profiles that can be output normally. 

In the same environment, a real battery was connected (a 4.48V battery) , No normal output. After removing the battery, still no output.

Attached the no output setting figure.

How to troubleshoot with the EVM?

    Hi Star,

    I don't understand why none of the Charger Single Register bits are selected.   The input current limit and IBUS OCP and Autonomous D+/D- should be set.  Also, I would have expected some of the fault registers to be set.  Those clear after being read.

    Can you send a pic of EVM, showing the jumper settings?  Is there a voltage at SYS pin with input applied?  Is the converter switching at SW1 or SW2 (squarish waveform)?
