LM5170EVM-BIDIR: MCU operating bidirectional power converter

Part Number: LM5170EVM-BIDIR
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5170, LM5171EVM-BIDIR

Hello! I want to make a 12/24 V bidirectional power converter (with the LM5170 EVM) using the F28379D Launchpad as MCU. In the user's guide it says to contact TI for info on operating with C2000 MCU. I haven't done any similar projects before and would therefore appreciate any tips you may have for me.

  • Hi Isabelle,

Signals required from an MCU include UVLO, EN1/EN2, DIR, ISETA or ISETD.

UVLO, EN1/EN2, DIR are just logic levels while ISETA or ISETD should come from a digital loop.

We don't have any firmware that is ready. Please contact the MCU team for help.

    You may also consider LM5171EVM-BIDIR.

    Best Regards,
