Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC2803
Hi,
I am looking for sample example model for boost operation. Is there any pspice model available?

Hi,
UCC2897A has no application for boost.
UCC2803 has a TINA model for boost.
Does it mean that the UCC2897A doesn't support for boost operation?. Could you please confirm.
Sorry i didn't understand why it is not used for buck operation. In this link https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP22509 it is mentioned that the UCC2897A can be able to convert 18v-36v dc to 5v dc. what is this mean here? Can you please explain.
Hi,
That design is on active clamp forward not on Buck.
Note step down can be a Buck or a forward. UCC2897A is for forward not a Buck.
It looks your confusion is due to misunderstanding Buck from a step down forward.
ok fine thanks. I mean here step up or step down. So i understand that the UCC2897A can be used for 'step down forward' from high voltage dc to low voltage dc. Similarly can this UCC2897A also used for step up operation which means from Low voltage dc to high voltage dc? If yes can you suggest any example model available to take it as a reference.
hi Thanks for the reply. I have used this model already for the step down operation from high voltage to low voltage and it is working fine. Now i would like to check for the step up or the reverse operation from low voltage to high voltage. This is my major requirement. Do i need to redesign the feedback circuit or can this be used straightaway?
HI,
You need to redesign the transformer and the feedback, also others, as your power stage now different.
Thanks for the reply. I have got an answer. Is it possible to lock or delete this thread?
