TPS25947: PG & PGTH pins not needed

Part Number: TPS25947

Hello,

I am using TPS259472ARPWR and do not require the PG function.

Can I leave PG & PGTH pins open?

PG is an open drain so that should be OK.

The PGTH comparator output PG_int only seems to go to the RS flip-flop for PG output so that should also be OK. Or should I connect PGTH to GND?

Any advice appreciated, thanks!

Ken

  • Hi Ken,

If you don't want to use PG pin, you can leave it floating as you mentioned it is an open drain pin. Also, PGTH is also a comparator which is used to control PG pin. You can leave it floating or connect to GND, it doesn't matter in your application as you aren't using PG pin. Connecting PGTH to GND, will make the PG always low.

Kindly reply here is any more question or click resolved if no more questions.

    Best Regards,

    Arush
