TPS563207: trouble getting inductor coupling working. Newbie question.

Part Number: TPS563207

Hello,

I'm sorry to all. I tried reading the help files but just couldn't figure it out.

In software I'm used to a simple K command directive makes it all happen. I tried about every type of inductor, transformer, and the coupling, Kbreak,  etc. and just couldn't get it working.

Here is my files.

Any advice about how to turn L1 and L2 into coupled inductors?

Best regards,

Kevin

  • Hi Kevin

I checked your files and one of the folders needed is missing.

Is you questions that you can‘t run the Pspice model?

This folder is needed to run the model as it contains the configuration files for Steady state and Startup.

In this folder, the three files are needed, don't delete and change the path. recommend trying again with a newly downloaded project, thanks!

  • Hi Xueliang,

Thank you for your reply. The TPS563207 model is working for me now. Thank you for helping me on my other thread.

I am working on several supplies using the same IC.

The new supply in this thread puts out 5Vbut also uses a coupled inductor to generate a second unregulated rail.

My question is about trying to get the inductors to couple. I don't understand the command to make them coupled. In my simulation they seem completely uncoupled.

I am uploading another zip file. I believe it contains all the files you requested

    Best regards,

    Kevin

  • Hi Kevin

Instead of filling in the inductance values of L1,L2 directly, you can try to set up K_liner as shown below, or search for the answer in Google. I don't have much experience in simulation of mutual inductance, thanks!
