LM431: Regarding Cathode Continuous Current and Cathode Current

Part Number: LM431

Dear Specialists,

My customer has a question about Cathode Continuous Current and Cathode Current.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

---

(1) Within the absolute maximum ratings
Continuous cathode current is described -10mA ~ +150mA
What kind of state does this "continuous" represent?
(A continuous period of time? Average? Instantaneous?)

(2) in operating conditions
Cathode current is described 1.0mA to 100mA
What is the state of the current at this time (continuous over a certain period of time? average? instantaneous?)

---

I appreciate your great help in advance.

Best regards,

Shinichi
