When the output is 5.5V with TPS61220 and TLV61220,
How many mA of output current can flow when the input voltage is between 0.7V and 1.5V?

Similarly, how many mA of output current can flow when an AAA alkaline battery is used on the input side?

Hi Umino,

The sw current limit is 400mA, which is the inductor current limit. Use this equation to calculate: Vin*Isw(max)/Vout=Iout(max).

Second question, it depends on the battery type and what the AAA battery voltage is.

The curve in "TPS61220 datasheet Figure 1. Maximum Output Current versus Input Voltage TPS61222 V=5V" is different from the formula.
Why is this?

Isw means peak current of inductor.

You should use typical 400mA-100mA(which is half the hysteric current ), then it's average current. use average current * Vin/Vout
