TPS65216: Recommended test procedures for PMIC chips

Part Number: TPS65216
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3358

Hi TIer

My customers use PMIC chips. They are confused about what items they need to test after the PMIC chip design is completed to ensure that the PMIC can stably power the system (AM3358).

I understand that our PMIC should actually same as BUCK and LDO. The test items are the same, including some output voltage ripple, load transient, efficiency, power consumption, linear transient, etc. Am I right?

But it seems that these are all chip-side tests. Should we pay more attention to the power requirements of AM3358 before formulating test projects?

In addition, do we have some “designed check lists” that can be given to users?
