BQ25886: D+/D- pin isn't use

Bill J -- In this case if would be best to connect D+ and D- to allow power negotiations with the adapter.  It may be possible to add some multiplexer circuit and this is getting complicated. Do not think you have a control for switching between configurations.

The BQ25886 max input voltage is 6.2V and would not benefit from higher input voltage.

Application is the same, but I want a different IC. My destination is to charge 2S1P/2S2P Li-Ion cells or smart batteries at the above-mentioned voltages and currents.

Take a look at BQ25798, this is a buck boost converter and has the input voltage range you are looking for.

2.) Input capable to give  5v/9v/11v/12v

3.) Charge 2S1P/2S2P Li-Ion cells or smart batteries.

4.)  Vout = 8.4V , Iout = 1A, Ilim = 2.0A

I just want to make corrections to the fourth criteria. i.e., IOUT = 3A/3.35A (Min 2 A) and ILIM = 4A (Max).
