Hi support team,

I want to use bq24295 in an IoT device with Zephyr OS. Seems the device driver has not been added to Zephyr, is it right?

Could you give an implementation or reference of the bq24295 driver in Zephyr?

Hi Yanpeng Wu,

Unfortunately we don't have any drivers available for the BQ24295. The similar BQ25190 family does have Linux drivers available for reference but we do not offer any drivers in Zephyr in particular.

Has this driver for BQ24295 been tested? I guess the driver was provided by TI, but has not been included in Linux main officially, is that right?

Hi Yanpeng,

That's right, the driver has not been up streamed into Linux main officially. These drivers were released a bit before my time but I believe their availability indicates that they received thorough level of testing.

Hi Juan,

That sounds good. The kernel services and APIs are very different between Linux and Zephyr.
Do you have any guidance or references for the driver porting from Linux to Zephyr? Thank you very much.

Unfortunately our team is not very familiar with Zephyr so we don't have any guidance on porting the Linux drivers over.
