Hi teams,
My customer is looking for a replacement product for LM5109BSD/NOPB. Could you please give me recommended products? I would appreciate it if there was a cheaper driver with the same functionality.
Regards,
Taito Takemura
Hey Taito,
Thank you for your question regarding the LM5109B.
Is the customer having an issue with this product or are they just looking for a change and cost reduction for a new revision?
Do they need a pin to pin (P2P) device?
As for P2P devices in 4mm x 4mm SON packages, we have the following:
LM5109BSD/NOPB - 8V UVLO, external bootstrap diode, 1A - $0.368/1ku
UCC27284DRMR - 5V UVLO, integrated bootstrap diode, 3A - $0.481/1ku
UCC27289DRMR - 8V UVLO, integrated bootstrap diode, 3A - $0.481/1ku
UCC27211ADRMR - 8V UVLO, integrated bootstrap diode, 4A - $0.663/1ku
As you can see, for P2P products, the LM5109 is very cost effective.
A new series of products that has been recently released and is very cost effective is the LM2x0x devices. These come in SOIC-8 and SON-8 (2x2) packages with various configurations of pinouts and those with and without integrated bootstrap diodes.
LM2101 - 8V UVLO, external bootstrap diode, 0.5/0.8A - $0.190/1ku
LM2005 - 8V UVLO, integrated bootstrap diode, 0.5/0.8A - $0.220/1ku
LM2105 - 5V UVLO, integrated bootstrap diode, 0.5/0.8A - $0.220/1ku
There are other configurations with inverting logic and shutdown pins as well in this series of products.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
William Moore
