I am searching for a completely alternative component to replace the end of life one, BQ2000T. This IC component is a buck switch charger controller. how to understand the Fast-charge charging current (Imax)? is the current flow through the IC pin SNS? where is the 0.05/Rsns comes from?

Hi Haiming,

The fast charge current is sensed by the voltage at the SNS pin which which sees Ichrg X Rsns relative to GND.

What type of battery (LiIon or NiMH) configuration (1S, 2S, etc) are your charging? How much charge current do you need? What is your max input voltage?

NiMH battery, 10 cells in series. 1.2V each cell. max charging current 1.6A. Nominal charging current 0.9A. Max battery voltage during charging could be 17V.
