TPS65987EVM: Changing Charge Settings On-The-Fly

Hello Scott,

Request you to provide more information related variable charge rate. Which application configuration/parameter of TPS65987 do you want to change and when?

I also request you to refer technical reference manual of the part for detailed description of registers and GPIO events.

I want to change the maximum current to 0.5A when we detect a change in power sources.  Our product can either be sourced from a battery or a fixed supply.  We'll have some external circuitry to detect when this happens, we just want to know how to change this setting once it happens.  Can we map a GPIO pin as an input and have it change this setting?  Do we need to write data to that register through I2C?

Hi.  I've tried putting my EVM into debug mode and changing the charge settings in real time, but I was getting a C++ error.  I also tried using multiple configuration datasets, but got an error about the file size.  I'd really appreciate some assistance.

I am checking if you can use GPIO events between GPIO event 61 and 65 as mentioned in Table 3-74 of TRM.

Please check if "Used Application Configuration Size" has exceeded "Allocated Application Configuration Size".

I tried using 1 virtual device and 2 virtual devices.  The error only occurred when I tried to use 2 virtual devices.
