LM5117: LM5117 Spice Error in Microcap-12

I am trying to simulate SNVA829 (constant current constant voltage) schematic given in the application report from TI. I downloaded the spice model from TI site and imported it to microcap. When I tried to run the transient analysis I get the following error (seems it's a warning but it doesn't start or complete the simulation due to the warning); Warning: Extra Text 'TC=0,0' found. Part: X4.C_C1 File:.......... I want to get the simulation working since I want to change the design so that it works for my application. Is there an issue with the model provided by TI? I downloaded the zip folder snvm960 and used that model since that's the only unencrypted model I could find

Hi Nipuna,

The model we provided is encrypted, so it only works with Spice for TI. If you have an NDA with TI, I can look into providing an unencrypted model.

I got the model from https://www.ti.com/product/LM5117#design-tools-simulation and it has an unencrypted version. I was told to remove "TC=0,0" by the stackoverflow community (apparently Microcap doesn't support TC in capacitors) and it did remove the error. However, now Microcap is saying there's a singularity issue (Matrix is singular). Do I have the latest model (I would like to get the latest model)? Can you check in the link? I would also like to sign a NDA so that I can get the models I want. How do I start the process?

Hi Nipuna,

I see that the latest model is uploaded to TI.co, and that it's unencrypted.

Is there anything preventing you from using the part in PSPICE for TI? I can't really support any other software, I'm sorry.
