TPS6594-Q1: I2C connection failed, device not connected on DUTWITHI2C @0x48

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1

Hi TI,

I am able to connect to AEVM controller the device ID 0x48 with SPI mode, but the connection failed with I2C mode.

All the jumper settings and expected voltages are correct.

Please give me the solution for the same.

What is the full part number of the device you are trying to communicate with? Have you tried other I2C addresses such as 0x4C, 0x28, or 0x2C?

The full part number of the device is TPS65941212REQ.

I2C address is 0x48.

Hello Rajesh,

Please try these jumper settings

Here is the setting for the jumpers from a photo:

If you have a switch in the lower left hand corner, pull the switch to GND when trying to connect.

If the NVM has been rewritten on the device you'd have to refer to the programming which you have placed on the board for the I2C address otherwise keep it at the 0x48 address.
