Hello,

What will happen if we exposed output pin of LM2940S-12/NOBP (LM2940-N) to 36V higher than max input voltage range(that is 26V)?
In design we have a diode connected between output and input for high voltage protection at output.

Hey Amit,

This can damage the upstream power supply.

Otherwise, a surge this high on the input is likely to damage the device.
